EVA Air marked the launch of its new Dallas–Fort Worth to Taipei route with a special inaugural ceremony held at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The event was co-hosted by EVA Air President Clay Sun; Ambassador Alexander Tah-Ray Yui of Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States; and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Ken Buchanan. Attendees at the ribbon-cutting ceremony included Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Vice President of Airline Relations and Cargo Business Development, Milton De La Paz; and Fort Worth Mayor Pro Tem Carlos Flores, among others.
“EVA Air’s new route builds on nearly 30 years of partnership with Dallas–Fort Worth, which began with our cargo operations,” said EVA Air President Clay Sun. “Since 1998, we have proudly operated cargo flights between Dallas–Fort Worth and Taipei, supporting trade, supply chain resilience, and economic opportunity. Those years of experience and partnership have laid the foundation for what we now inaugurate—a direct, reliable, and convenient service for our passengers.”
“Our new route will begin with three weekly flights, increase to five in mid-November, and reach daily service by the end of this year. When that happens, EVA Air will serve nine passenger gateways with 94 weekly flights between Taiwan and North America—more than any other Taiwanese carrier. Passengers arriving in Taipei on a morning BR49 flight from the U.S., as well as other North American flights, can effortlessly connect to more than 450 weekly EVA Air flights throughout Asia without undergoing additional security screening.”
To celebrate the launch of the DFW–TPE route, EVA Air organized a special evening at the gate with interactive activities and exclusive experiences. Guests who joined the festivities had the chance to win limited-edition EVA Air prizes. Additionally, all travelers on the inaugural flight received special gifts prepared by EVA Air to mark this significant milestone.
The DFW–TPE route is operated with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring EVA Air’s latest fourth-generation Premium Economy Class, making its U.S. debut. Premium Economy passengers will enjoy two new colored amenity kits created in partnership with HUNTER. Royal Laurel passengers will experience the brand-new Royal Laurel Class amenity kits, sleepwear, and slippers in collaboration with Maison Kitsuné. These enhancements reflect EVA Air’s ongoing commitment to providing passengers with a more comfortable and enjoyable journey.
Dallas is one of Texas’s fastest-growing cities. In recent years, the growth of the Asian American community and the relocation of major U.S. corporate headquarters have fueled strong economic and population growth, positioning Dallas as a rising global hub for technology and manufacturing. Many Taiwanese electronics companies have also established facilities and investments in the region. With the launch of the new DFW–TPE route, EVA Air aims to provide an exceptional travel experience for both business and leisure travelers connecting Dallas–Fort Worth to Asia.
With the inaugural DFW–TPE flight, EVA Air expands its nonstop North America–Taiwan network to nine passenger destinations: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Houston, Chicago, Vancouver, Toronto, and now Dallas. Offering diverse routes and frequent schedules, EVA Air continues to connect travelers across North America, Taiwan, and Asia with ease and excellence.
