Princess Cruises will alter one April 2024 itinerary aboard Emerald Princess so guests sailing to the Mexican Riviera will have a rare opportunity to experience a complete solar eclipse at sea. Princess has also announced its longest voyage ever at 116 days.
In personnel moves, industry veteran John Chernesky was named senior vice president of sales for North America for Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). He’ll succeed Todd Hamilton, who will step into a new strategic role as senior vice president of new ventures at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH), the parent company for the NCL, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands.
Another industry veteran Kari Tarnowski was appointed chief marketing officer for Life at Sea Cruises, the world's first and only three-year cruise. Prior to joining Life at Sea Cruises, Tarnowski served as the SVP of marketing and sales at American Queen Voyages, rebranding the line in September 2021. Tarnowski also held senior marketing roles at Crystal Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Sandals Resorts International and Silversea Cruises, and was part of the launch team for Hotels.com in 2002. Life at Sea Cruises launched in March 2023.

Elsewhere, Travel Agent is “sailing into history” this week onboard Holland America Line’s Rotterdam. It's the line’s 150th anniversary voyage with a big celebration planned in Rotterdam, Netherlands, upon arrival. Plus, the line has added two new roles aboard: Directors for arts and crafts, as well as sports.
MSC Cruises unveiled new children's entertainment for MSC Euribia, which will offer seven rooms dedicated to children and teenagers, with more than 100 hours of live entertainment organized by MSC Cruises’ clubs.
Star Clippers has opened voyages through March 2025, while Aurora Expeditions has unveiled its 2024-2025 Antarctica program.
