The small ship cruise line Alaskan Dream Cruises is debuting its 2019 lineup of expeditions through Alaska’s Inside Passage. For its ninth operating season, Alaskan Dream Cruises will offer the following itineraries:
Alaska’s Glacier Bay & Island Adventure is Alaskan Dream Cruises’ signature itinerary. The week-long cruise includes premier wildlife viewing, remote wilderness exploration, a full day in Glacier Bay National Park, excursions in a fishing town and Alaska Native cultural immersion in the Tlingit village of Kake. This cruise is available through 15 departures on the Chichagof Dream and five departures on the Admiralty Dream from May 10, 2019, to September 15, 2019, starting from $3,795 per person.
The eight-night Alaska’s Inside Passage Sojourn is an extended itinerary that allows passengers to explore Southeast Alaska from its northern to southern ends. This itinerary calls on a collection of rarely visited towns and Alaska Native villages where guests experience the three Southeast Alaska indigenous cultures—Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian. This itinerary is available through 10 sailings on the Alaskan Dream from May 10, 2019, to September 15, 2019, with rates starting at $4,995 per person.
Alaska’s Southeast Explorer cruise adds two days and three ports to everything included in the Alaska’s Inside Passage Sojourn. It offers the gold-rush town of Skagway, which includes a ride aboard the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad, as well as time in Haines at the head of Chilkat Inlet and at the fishing community of Petersburg. Alaska’s Southeast Explorer is available through four sailings on the Alaskan Dream. Sailings on this route are available May 26, June 29, July 25 and August 20, starting from $6,895 per person.
The seven-night Alaska’s Islands, Whales & Glaciers trip aboard the 10-guest Misty Fjord expedition vessel is ideal for travelers seeking more activity, with more time spent in remote wilderness areas and no set routes. The captain and shore team determine the week’s route based on wildlife migrations, guest interests and weather. This expedition is available through 15 departures on the Misty Fjord from May 11, 2019, to September 4, 2019, with rates starting at $4,595 per person.
Become a True Alaskan family cruises are geared towards multi-generational groups and families with activities like an overnight stay in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. Voyages include an onboard Youth Expedition Leader who leads activities, exploration, and educational programs about Alaska. This itinerary is available through three departures on the Chichagof Dream in June and July, starting at $4,795 per adult. Children age 15 and under receive 20 percent off.
The five-night Alaska’s Spring Wilderness & Wildlife Safari shows guests what it’s like in Southeast Alaska in the early spring. The annual herring migration provides an abundance of wildlife viewing opportunities which include humpback whales, eagles, sea otters, Stellar sea lions and more. Guests will explore the wilderness throughout Sitka Sound aboard the Misty Fjord. Five round-trip departures will be offered out of Sitka in March and April starting at $3,290 per person.
Cruise fares include accommodations on the ship, all meals during the sailing, scheduled shore excursions, airport transfers, use of recreational equipment, a complimentary glass of wine or beer with dinner and exceptional onboard services.
