AmaWaterways Opens Reservations for 2025 River Cruises

AmaWaterways is welcoming both individual and group bookings for its 2025 river cruise itineraries. For reservations on 2025 sailings booked by September 30, 2023, AmaWaterways is offering an “Early Booking Reward” with savings of up to 20 percent on cruise fares depending on the sailing dates and destinations.

AmaWaterways will take guests along the Magdalena River in Colombia with the launch of the 60-passenger AmaMagadalena in November 2024. In June 2025, AmaMelodia will join its sister ship offering 32 twin-balcony staterooms. Guests can choose between two seven-night itineraries, “Wonders of Colombia” and “Magic of Colombia,” sailing between Cartagena and Barranquilla with pre- and post-cruise optional land packages in Medellin and Panama City.

AmaSintra will join AmaDouro and AmaVida for journeys along the Douro River to discover Portugal. AmaSintra will offer a choice of two seven-night itineraries—“Enticing Douro,” a roundtrip journey from Porto and the “Flavors of Portugal & Spain,” from Porto to Vega de Terron.

In 2025, AmaWaterways will launch “Imperial Danube,” a new seven-night itinerary sailing roundtrip from Budapest on the Danube River. Besides taking in the scenic cruising around the Danube Bend, travelers will enjoy visits to Bratislava, Durnstein and Vienna. Guests can also opt for a two-night, pre-cruise land package in Budapest to immerse themselves in the city’s culinary scene and Jewish heritage.

With the increased demand for longer vacations, AmaWaterways has announced the return of its 14-night “Magnificent Europe” itinerary in 2025. Cruising between Amsterdam and Budapest, guests will cross the Continental Divide along the Danube, Main and Rhine Rivers and traverse five countries and the Main-Danube Canal. They can also witness multiple UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as Cologne’s Gothic Cathedral, Würzburg Residenz Palace, Bamberg, Regensburg and the Melk Abbey, in addition to hiking and biking along scenic views in Passau and Vienna.
