American Queen Voyages Continues to Build Brand With Cruise "Atlas"

American Queen Voyages, part of the Hornblower Group, has introduced its first cruise atlas for 2022-24. The recently renamed brand now encompasses river, lake, ocean and expedition cruises under one umbrella—combining the former cruise offerings of American Queen Steamboat Company and Victory Cruise Lines, as well as new expeditions launching this year.

The new, 156-page guide has been designed as a resource for travel partners and consumers alike. From cover to cover, the atlas illustrates the newly renamed brand's "Discovery Runs Deep" message. In addition, it outlines the American Queen Voyages' all-inclusive experience across an eight-vessel fleet and shore excursions in more than 120 North American ports.

Beyond the overview introduction to American Queen Voyages, the new atlas also provides details on suites and staterooms, entertainment and enrichment. The new guide previews the new Club AQV loyalty program and provides ongoing "SafeCruise" health and safety protocol details and more.

“The new atlas is another milestone achievement as we continue to introduce the American Queen Voyages brand, comprehensively encouraging a deeper discovery of North America one page at a time,” explained Kari Tarnowski, senior vice president of marketing and sales, American Queen Voyages. She added that the comprehensive catalog will help travelers learn about the line's experiences and travel advisors to sell to clients. It's available in both print and digital editions.

Diverse Destinations

The 2022-24 atlas covers such diverse port destinations as the lakes-and-oceans port of Savannah, GA, the expedition destination of Ketchikan, AK and a customer favorite, the river port of Louisville, KY.

Numbers illustrate waterway and destination locations and the atlas includes mile markers and geographic coordinates. The atlas' design continues the new brand's deconstructed paddlewheel theme across its pages, which reflects individual paddles or bucket boards as they are called on the river. This graphic was first established with an algorithm measuring the distance traveled and varying nautical speeds on any given vessel.

The atlas features a QR code connecting to a video that further explains that concept; see more below:

“'Discovery Runs Deep' and exploring North America continues to resonate,” said Shawn Bierdz, chief operating officer, American Queen Voyages. “As we celebrate our company’s 10th anniversary and prepare our largest vessel deployment in history, this new atlas will equip travelers and advisors with a visually-rich resource to plan experiences with American Queen Voyages through 2024.”
