Aqua Mare Debuts in the Galapagos Islands

Aqua Expeditions has announced the expansion of its fleet with the launch of Aqua Mare, which has set sail among Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands. The seven-suite superyacht offers guests a choice of two personalized seven-night itineraries exploring the archipelago’s eastern and western regions, besides two 14-night voyages.

Aqua Mare was designed and built by the Italian shipyard CRN with custom interiors by François Zuretti. The ship can accommodate up to 16 guests in seven suites, which range from 215 square feet to an 861-square-foot Owner’s Suite featuring a 215-square-foot bathroom. Spread over four decks, the 164-foot ship also offers a six-person jacuzzi, outdoor barbecue area, workout zone and shaded and open sun decks. A standout feature of the superyacht is its Beach Club, located at the aft of the lower deck, complete with a hydraulic beam-to-beam window.

Aqua Expeditions has once again teamed up with Peruvian chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino. The chef has created a Peruvian Japanese Nikkei-inspired menu with sustainable ingredients sourced from local suppliers all the way to the Andes of Ecuador.

The Aqua Mare has a crew of 16, including two naturalist guides who provide twice-daily expeditions on two custom-made, military-grade black rib tenders. Each group is capped at only eight guests. Aqua Mare is also equipped with double kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling gear.

Rates per person for a seven-night itinerary are inclusive of all meals and beverages; local transfers to/from recommended flights; all excursions; Galapagos Park entrance fees and INGALA transit card; laundry service; and internet. A seven-night charter for up to 16 passengers is inclusive of house spirits and a private masseuse for five hours per day.
