It hasn't been long since Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas made its waves on the cruise scene, but already the cruise line is gearing up to unveil its next titan.
Slated to make its debut in December, Allure of the Seas is stirring up considerable buzz. The most exciting of which is that the ship will be featuring Chicago: The Musical to headline its main theater. Check out a new webisode about the production at www.allureoftheseas.com.
The production will run for 90 minutes in the 1,380-seat Amber Theater. Keep a lookout for more theatrical performances to follow.
A thespian at heart? Auditions for the Royal Caribbean's production of Chicago, as well as Allure of the Seas' other shows, will begin June 3. Open casting calls will be held June 3-5 in Chicago, June 8-11 in London and June 14-17 in New York. Visit www.royalcaribbeanproductions.com.
The ship herself will span 16 decks and can accommodate 5,400 guests. It will continue Royal Caribbean tradition of neighborhood concepts including seven themed areas: Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone.
