Costa Cruises Redesigns Shore Excursion Program

Costa Cruises has introduced a redesigned shore excursion program with distinctive “Land Destination” clusters, each expertly curated to meet and inspire a variety of travel preferences. Every tour will now fall into one of four collections: See It All; Icons; Fun for Family; and Extraordinary. From must-see highlights to immersive exploration, the new categories offer guests the flexibility to choose excursions best suited to their travel style.

Costa’s reorganized portfolio of shore excursions delivers a more personalized vacation, inviting guests to fully embrace every moment ashore. “Land Destinations” present authentic “Land Experiences” so guests can enjoy the ports to the fullest, and they are now grouped into thematic categories that highlight comprehensive exploration, in-depth discovery, family experiences and unique adventures—all guided by local experts.

Shore excursions are clearly labeled on the company’s website, and guests also can search by category. The new “Land Destination” clusters include:

  • See It All – Ideal for guests who want to enjoy the top highlights of a destination in one seamless, tailored tour to must-see sites. Examples:
    • All of Naples: Between flavors, history and superstition in Naples, Italy
    • All of Marseille by Petit Train: Symbolic places and the soul of the city in Marseille, France
    • Visit to the village of Altos de Chavón in La Romana, Dominican Republic
  • Icons – Focused on in-depth exploration of iconic attractions, this cluster features exclusive access to often sold-out spots so Costa guests can skip the lines. Local guides share their stories and expertise. Examples:
    • Imperial Rome: Colosseum, forums and emperors in Rome, Italy
    • Ballarò: Walking with a chef through markets, Arancini and Cannoli in Palermo, Italy
    • Boat tour and snorkeling on the Coral Reef in Guadeloupe, Dominican Republic
  • Fun for Family – Designed for multi-generational travel, these excursions balance discovery and entertainment on a tour that is safe and easy for all ages, hosted by Costa’s Squok Club team members. Examples:
    • Little and big archeologists in Pompeii: Among ruins, games and mysteries in Naples
    • In search of the dragon: Adventure in Palma for young explorers in Palma de Mallorca, Spain
    • A voyage into the solar system kids and adults in Genoa, Italy
  • Extraordinary – Created for those seeking adrenaline-filled or unusual experiences, this cluster includes memorable, bucket-list options. Examples:

The launch of Costa’s “Land Destination” clusters is enriched by a refreshed “My Explorations Package,” which allows guests to pre-book shore excursions features See It All experiences. Guests can discover off-the-beaten-path destinations and iconic locations, all with maximum flexibility and the opportunity for small-group experiences.

Costa’s “Cruise & Credit Combo” offers guests fares starting at $599 per person. Guests who book select Mediterranean, Caribbean, Canary Islands and South American sailings departing through May 2026 will receive up to $200 onboard credit per cabin, double occupancy. Bookings must be made by October 24, 2025.
