CroisiEurope has announced that its newest river cruise ship, the RV Indochine II, will launch on September 16 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The cruise line’s new vessel will travel between Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Siem Reap, Cambodia, from August to April, with an itinerary that presents guests with a bevy of attractions along the Mekong River.
The 11-day trip will include a tour of the magnificent temples of Angkor, a visit to the great Tonle Sap Lake, and a stop at Ho Chi Minh City – known for its French Colonial landmarks built in the 19th century.
The design of the RV Indochine II, inspired by the style of the rich commercial fleets that cruise on the Mekong, fits right in with the rest of the CroisiEurope fleet.
The ship is a wide, low vessel that sports prominent sheers on the outside decks covered in exotic Vietnamese wood and encircled with gangways. The interior of the ship mixes the style of the French Colonial era with more contemporary trends, creating an original design they call “neo-colonial.”
In addition, the RV Indochine II is equipped with state-of-the-art climate control, ventilation, and water treatment technology that ensures minimal disruption to the Mekong’s environment.
The ship will include:
- The capacity to accommodate 62 passengers
- 31 spacious cabins with private balconies
- A restaurant located at the stem and a panoramic lounge bar at the bow, both with large windows that
- An outside bar and lounge alongside a pool on the upper deck
- Massage services available on the main deck
