Emerald Cruises Opens 2027 European River Cruise Pre-Booking Access

Emerald Cruises has officially opened pre-bookings for its 2027 European river cruise collection. Marking the earliest release in the brand’s history, the opening reflects strong demand for culturally immersive river journeys and gives travelers more time than ever to plan their next adventure.

“Travelers are booking further out and seeking fresh ways to experience Europe with comfort and style,” said Ken Muskat, president of Scenic Group, USA/LATAM. “The debut of Emerald Lumi on the Seine, alongside our expanded 2027 river program, reflects Emerald’s modern approach to river cruising: luxury ships, included comforts, and more freedom to explore.”

Emerald’s 2027 river cruise collection spans France’s Seine and Rhône rivers, Portugal’s Douro Valley, the Moselle Valley and the Rhine-Main-Danube (RMD) corridor, with sailings beginning as early as February and running through December. Guests can look forward to seasonal variety, from springtime blooms along the Rhine to festive late-year departures including Christmas on the Rhine and holiday markets along the Danube.

The season will also spotlight the launch of Emerald Lumi in March 2027 on the Seine with roundtrip itineraries from Paris, as well as expanded programming across the Douro, Rhine, Main and Danube with the growing fleet, including Emerald Astra debuting in May 2026. Travelers will also have more ways to personalize their journeys, with opportunities to link multiple river cruises, add land extensions or pair a river sailing with Emerald’s luxury yachts in the Mediterranean or Adriatic for a longer, more diverse adventure.

Itinerary highlights include:

  • Eight-day “Sensations of the Seine & Normandy” – Sail aboard Emerald Lumi, debuting in 2027, on a roundtrip journey from Paris through Normandy, featuring Monet’s gardens at Giverny, the medieval treasures of Rouen and the seaside charm of Honfleur.
  • Eight-day “Danube Delights” – Cruise through the heart of Central Europe from Budapest to Munich, uncovering baroque cities, riverside villages and historic abbeys across Hungary, Austria and Germany.
  • Eight-day “Jewels of the Rhine” – Journey from Amsterdam to Zurich, passing fairytale castles, vineyard-clad hillsides and some of Europe’s most iconic river towns.
  • 11-day “Rhine Castles & Moselle Vineyards” – On this journey from Zurich to Amsterdam, guests will travel through the Rhine and Moselle valleys, where medieval castles and world-class vineyards create a storybook setting.
