Advisors with aviation buffs on their client lists now have more to sell on Holland America Line’s Pan Am 100th Anniversary Legendary Voyage. The line has outlined the lectures, menus, and shore excursions planned for the 28-day sailing, which departs Miami roundtrip aboard Zuiderdam on Oct. 30, 2027, and follows parts of the airline’s early routes through the Caribbean and Central America.

Four excursions were built specifically for the cruise. In Cartagena, Colombia, guests will tour the city in classic roadsters and hear about its emerald trade during the airline’s heyday. A Colón, Panama, outing pairs the Agua Clara Locks with the Panama Canal Railway. In Antigua, a trip to Shirley Heights takes in the harbor view Pan Am navigators relied on when bringing aircraft into port. The Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, tour visits Chaguaramas, a former Pan Am flying boat base, and its military history and aerospace museum.

On board, a five-person speaker lineup includes actor Willie Aames of “Eight Is Enough” and “Charles in Charge.” He is joined by Pan Am Museum Foundation chair and co-founder Linda Freire, foundation vice chairman David Hinson, aviation storyteller Steve Gray, and hospitality executive David Kliman, a pilot and Pan Am memorabilia collector. Topics range from the airline’s flying boats and South American routes to its service culture and cabin crew training.

Menus will draw on dishes from Pan Am’s in-flight service, among them filet mignon maître d’hôtel, Dover sole baked in puff pastry, and a Grand Marnier soufflé. The bar list includes the rum-based Clipper Cocktail once poured aboard the flying boats. The ship will also stage a version of the Clipper Club, the airline’s private airport lounge network.

“Not only is the cruise itinerary reminiscent of our early days of the Flying Clippers, but the onboard experience we are creating with Holland America will bring to life a special time in the history of travel,” said Craig Carter, CEO of Pan Am Global Holdings.
