Advisors can now book the first five sailings aboard Holland America Line’s Oosterdam after its overhaul, starting with a 10-day Mediterranean cruise that leaves Rome on Oct. 31, 2027.

Oosterdam is the first ship to go through Holland America Evolution, a multiyear fleet upgrade the 153-year-old line calls the largest investment in its history. The work, taking place at a shipyard in Marseille, France, adds features from the line’s newer Pinnacle Class ships to older vessels.

For advisors with solo clients, the most notable addition is a Solo Verandah category built for single travelers. The ship also gains forward-facing Bridgeview Suites, Vista Suites, and a redesigned Pinnacle Suite, along with a Grand Dutch Café and an updated Ocean Bar.

“As the first ship to emerge from Holland America Evolution, Oosterdam marks the beginning of an exciting new era for our fleet,” said Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line.

The first cruise, Adriatic Antiquities, sails from Rome to Trieste, Italy, with calls in Pompeii, Sicily, Corfu, Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor, and the Croatian coast. An 11-day sailing follows on Nov. 10 from Trieste to Piraeus, the port for Athens, by way of Croatia, the Greek islands, and Istanbul. A seven-day Greek islands and Malta cruise departs Piraeus on Nov. 21 for Barcelona.

Oosterdam then crosses the Atlantic on a 13-day voyage from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, leaving Nov. 28 with stops in Spain and Gibraltar. The ship begins its Caribbean season with an 11-day round-trip cruise from Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 11.
