This month, HX (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions) launched a new advisor portal as part of its ongoing rebrand. The portal, now exclusively dedicated to HX, offers a streamlined space for advisors to access updated brochures, marketing materials, one-pagers and webinars, including the newly launched HXplore series, to effectively sell HX’s expedition cruises.
Alongside the launch, HX has also introduced a new online training program. The one-hour training includes four concise modules: Introduction to HX; Destinations; Sustainability, Science & Education; and Life Onboard. The trainings, designed to be engaging with shorter content and interactive quizzes, allows advisors to deepen their understanding of HX’s offerings and destinations, enhancing their ability to sell HX expeditions. Advisors will receive an OTT certificate and accreditation logo upon completion, and those who complete the training by the end of August will be entered into a draw for a $150 gift card.
With HX’s transition to the new travelhx.com domain, the portal now sports a refreshed design that reflects the brand’s new visual identity, introduced earlier this year. The content is exclusively focused on HX, streamlining navigation for advisors, making it easier for advisors to navigate. In early September, HX will upload a new suite of marketing materials and B2B assets to the portal, including selling guides, destination packs, and more. The portal will also be used for HX booking creation, cruises and content (new and additional) and will display all active bookings.
Additional trade initiatives include the HXplore Webinar Series. It is a monthly webinar series launched earlier this year, and offers a deep dive into HX following its recent rebrand. By November, 11 episodes covering a range of topics—from destinations to the expedition product—will be available. Sessions are designed to equip advisors with the knowledge they need to effectively support their clients and sell HX. All webinars are recorded and accessible through HX’s Agent Portal, providing advisors with the tools to promote HX and meet their clients’ needs.
HX had also introduced a dedicated B2B Help Desk in May, operational from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. PST Monday to Friday. The new phone line provides personalized support and offline assistance for advisors, enhancing the booking experience. Sheralyn Berry, general manager for HX in the Americas, has been at the forefront of training the dedicated B2B advisors, ensuring the Help Desk is equipped to answer the unique and special needs of advisors in the Americas. Advisors can contact the new Help Desk at 1-866-312-6791.
Among other initiatives, HX has increased advisors commissions to 25 percent on all Galapagos bookings through December 31, 2024 for sailings scheduled from now through December 31, 2025.
The company is also offering an exclusive sailing for over 300 advisors this September on HX’s newest vessel, MS Fridtjof Nansen. This two-day FAM will give advisors a deep-dive on expedition cruising through lectures, trainings and firsthand product experience. Advisors will be able to meet HX leadership, including new CEO, Gebhard Rainer.
