MSC Cruises has announced new itineraries for summer 2020, including trips to Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Asia. Here’s a look at what guests can expect.
Asia
Guests can explore Asia onboard MSC Belissima on one of three new itineraries for 2020 with a choice of different-length cruises. In June, July and August, a six- or seven-night cruise departing from Shanghai will then call at Japan’s second-largest city, Yokohama, before continuing to Osaka. Meanwhile, a nine-night cruise in October from Tokyo will give guests the chance to visit Wakyama, Hiroshima and Matsuyama, Japan, before calling at Ganjeong, Korea, followed by Yokohama, Japan.

MSC Cruises will deploy 12 ships in the region, including the company’s newest flagship, MSC Grandiosa, which is set to launch this November. The new flagship will call at Genoa and Civitavecchia, Italy; Palermo, Sicily; Valetta, Malta; Barcelona, Spain; and Marseille, France, for its first summer season.
Alongside MSC Grandiosa, three other ships will sail in the Western Mediterranean in 2020: MSC Divina, MSC Fantasia and MSC Seaview. The MSC Seaview will call at Barcelona on Saturdays, followed by Ajaccio, France; Genoa, La Spezia and Civitavecchia, Italy; Cannes, France; and Palma de Mallorca on Fridays. MSC Divina will call at Genoa, Italy; Marseille, France; Barcelona and Ibiza, Spain; and Naples and Livorno, Italy. MSC Fantasia will call at Genoa and Civitavecchia, Italy; Palermo, Sicily; Palma de Mallorca and Valencia, Spain; and Marseille, France.
In the Eastern Mediterranean, MSC Orchestra, MSC Musica, MSC Magnifica, MSC Sinfonia and MSC Opera will all offer itineraries from Venice to the Greek Islands and the Adriatic Sea. Highlights include Dubrovnik, Mykonos and Santorini. During peak season, MSC Lirica itineraries will include stops in Valletta, Malta, and Syracuse.
The Caribbean
MSC Cruises ships will deploy two ships in the Caribbean throughout the 2020 summer season: MSC Seaside and MSC Armonia. MSC Seaside will sail seven-night itineraries from Miami, allowing guests to visit Ocho Rios, George Town and Cozumel. Rounding out the Western Caribbean, MSC Armonia will call at Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Mexico or Key West. Both MSC Seaside and MSC Armonia will also call at the cruise line's new private island destination, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, officially opening this November.
Northern Europe
Four MSC Cruises ships will be deployed in Northern Europe for summer 2020, giving guests the opportunity to visit Scandinavian and Eastern European gems.
Longer cruises of up to 14 nights will be offered on MSC Preziosa, sailing from Hamburg on itineraries in the Baltics, Fjords and North Cape. MSC Preziosa will also offer seven-night Northern Pearls cruises from Hamburg, calling at Le Havre, Southampton, Zeebrugge, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
MSC Poesia, homeported in Warnemünde, will offer 11-night Baltic cruises and a mixture of seven-night cruises, visiting the Fjords in Norway and the Baltic capitals. MSC Poesia’s highlight will be a 21-night cruise stopping in Greenland and Iceland.
