Travelers can officially start purchasing tickets for MSC Cruises’ 2021 World Cruise, which will mark the third global cruise for the company. Scheduled to begin January 5, 2021, the 119-day voyage will feature an all-new itinerary that will put a greater focus on unique Asian destinations.
Sailing aboard the MSC Poesia, the journey will begin in the Mediterranean in Europe, stopping in Genoa and Civitavecchia in Italy, Marseille in France and Barcelona in Spain. After crossing the Atlantic, passengers will head to the Caribbean and pass through the Panama Canal. The MSC Poesia will then journey up the continent’s west coast, visiting Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico and, finally, San Francisco in the United States.
The next leg heads to the Pacific islands, stopping in Hawaii, Samoa and Fiji. Following a stop in Auckland in New Zealand, passengers will visit Sydney, the Golden Coast, Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Heading north, the MSC Poesia will hit Papua New Guinea and the Philippines before arriving in Japan.
After calls in Kyoto and Tokyo in Japan and Shanghai and Hong Kong in China, the Asia leg of the trip sails on to Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia. Next, the itinerary takes guests through the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka and Dubai, then on to Oman and Jordan. Following a transit of the Suez Canal, passengers will return to the Mediterranean.
