MSC Cruises Rolls Out Exclusive Shore Excursions for Yacht Club Guests

MSC Cruises has announced that guests traveling in the MSC Yacht Club can book a selection of exclusive shore excursions. The line is offering more than 90 MSC Yacht Club shore excursions at various ports in the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Northern Europe, with more to come in other regions later this year.

From the MSC Yacht Club, guests will enjoy priority disembarkation coupled with private transportation. The experiences fall into a number of categories to suit a variety of tastes, ranging from culinary experiences or learning about local artistry to enjoying adventure activities, and more.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Cozumel, Mexico – Guests can spend the day on a catamaran sailing off the coast of Cozumel. Guests will have a personal, local guide for the journey, who will take them to Colombia Reef, a snorkeling spot where they may spot sea turtles, eagle rays and schools of fish.
  • Falmouth, Jamaica – Guests will spend their day in a private cabana along the Martha Brae River, surrounded by forest with a personal butler catering to every need. They can take a dip in the nearby pool and make use of the riverside bar and grill.
  • Cannes, France – About an hour’s drive from Cannes, the town of Grasse is often referred to as the perfume capital. Guests will have the opportunity to create a personalized eau de cologne. Following this experience, they will be guided by a professional perfumer on a behind-the-scenes tour of the factory before taking home their creations in a 100 milliliter bottle with a personalized case.
  • Genoa, Italy – In this excursion, guests can participate in a cooking lesson at Santa Margherita Ligure. They can learn some of the cooking techniques before enjoying a lunch featuring local cuisine and wine. They can then head to Portofino to visit luxury shops, explore the alleyways and the square of the Church of St. George.
  • Akureyri, Iceland – This excursion allows guests to enjoy the mineral-rich water of the geothermal Fontana baths located on Lake Laugarvatn. Guests will be offered rye bread made in the geothermal bakery right next to the baths. The excursion also includes the opportunity to visit the Þingvellir National Park.
  • Invergordon, Scotland – The excursion offers guests the chance to visit a distillery known for its malt whiskeys since the 19th century. A guided tour will acquaint guests with every step of the distillation process and offer the chance to try two drams before they are transported to the 12th-century town of Royal Dornoch to admire its oldest buildings, a cathedral and its town square.

The excursions are now bookable for MSC Yacht Club guests in advance, online, through the MSC Cruises contact center or through the booking travel advisor, as well as onboard through the MSC For Me app (where available), MSC Yacht Club concierge service or Shore Excursions desk.

The MSC Yacht Club is a “ship-within-a-ship” concept with suites in a keycard-access area of the ship. This exclusive area provides facilities including a sundeck, pool, hot tubs, restaurant and lounge, along with personalized service provided by a 24-hour butler and concierge desk. MSC Yacht Club guests can also enjoy the facilities and entertainment options available throughout the rest of the ship.
