A new Meraviglia-Plus vessel, MSC Grandiosa, will set sail from Hamburg, Germany on November 9. It will become MSC Cruises’ new flagship, and the largest ship in the fleet.
Amenities include 11 dining venues, 21 bars and lounges, new entertainment options, a Mediterranean-style promenade and more. Here is a virtual tour of what will be offered.
An Environmentally-Friendly Vessel
Equipped with recycling facilities and waste management systems, and advanced technology for cleaner emissions, the ship, MSC Cruises says, operates with increased energy efficiency.
MSC for Me and ZOE
ZOE, an artificial intelligence (AI) system, will be part of every accommodation on MSC Grandiosa. ZOE was originally featured on MSC Bellissima near the start of 2019.
ZOE can answer hundreds of questions about the cruise, give information about onboard facilities, help book services and provide guidance and suggestions in seven languages.
Additional MSC for Me features, along with ZOE, include guest-to-guest chat via the MSC for Me app and a Friends and Family Locator service. Guests can also browse and purchase pre-paid packages to start planning prior to boarding.
Dining Options
Alongside three main restaurants serving Mediterranean cuisine and an international buffet, guests can book four specialty restaurants:
- HOLA! Tapas Bar: a Spanish-inspired culinary experience created by the two-starred Michelin chef Ramón Freixa.
- L’atelier Bistrot: a French bistro with a selection including tartars, charcuterie and cheese selections, along with larger traditional French dishes such boeuf bourguignon, steak tartar and duck confit.
- Butcher’s cut: a modern American steakhouse concept seen on board all the latest MSC Cruises ships.
- Kaito Teppanyaki and Sushi Bar: two restaurants—one of which offers Hibachi.
Two New Cirque Du Soleil at Sea Shows
MSC Grandiosa will be the third MSC Cruises ship to feature Cirque du Soleil at Sea. Two new, contrasting shows are designed exclusively for guests sailing aboard the vessel. More information will be released in the future.
MSC Yacht Club
With 95 exclusive suites and day-and-night butler and concierge service, this ship-within-a-ship concept offers guests a place to eat, drink, swim and sunbathe in a private club atmosphere. Accommodations are equipped with Egyptian cotton sheets, memory foam mattresses and a complimentary mini bar.
