Emerald Waterways is offering guests aboard the August 4, 2018, Sensations of Southern France sailing the chance to improve their skills and learn to use their smart phones to take sharper, more captivating photos with famous travel and lifestyle photographer Jack Hollingsworth.
During this special sailing, Hollingsworth will lead guests in multiple on-board workshops showing smartphone users his tricks of the trade. Guests will learn everything from how to compose a better shot to which apps the pros use (and how to use them) to how to make the most of the powerful cameras that live inside our smart phones. To reinforce these lessons, Hollingsworth will offer hands-on assistance during afternoon and evening sailings and on shore excursions.
Jack Hollingsworth is a recognized name in travel and lifestyle photography, especially when it comes to shooting with a smart phone, and the author of the book, “The Joy of iPhotography.” He shot commercially for year using traditional cameras until he fell in love with his iPhone camera, which he now uses as his primary capture tool. Over the past six years, he has shot over 500,000 images in over 20 countries using only his iPhone and his work has appeared in Apple’s popular #ShotoniPhone campaign. Hollingsworth also teaches seminars and classes on smart phone photography across the country, which have inspired thousands to further explore the power of their camera phones.
Emerald Waterways Sensations of Southern France cruises take place on board the newly launched Emerald Liberte and travel through the Provence and Burgundy region on eight-night itineraries from either Lyon or Arles between April and October. The itinerary includes Chalon-Sur-Saône, Beaune, Macon, Tournon, Arles and Avignon. Eight-day sailings in 2018 start at $2,995 per person based on double occupancy.
