Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has revealed new and expanded offerings aboard Norwegian Joy, including a new Thermal Suite in the Mandara Spa and Salon, redesigned three-bedroom The Haven Premier Owner’s Suites, an expanded Vibe Beach Club and 24 new balcony staterooms, following a three-week dry dock.
Among the notable updates to Norwegian Joy and the onboard guest experience is the addition of the new spacious Thermal Suite at the Mandara Spa and Salon, which is now the largest within the Breakaway-Plus class ships. Complete with offerings such as the new four senses loungers, a sauna, an ice room and a steam room, Norwegian Joy guests will enjoy more amenities as part of NCL’s Mandara Spa experience. Additionally, Norwegian Joy’s The Haven by Norwegian Premier Owner’s Suites with a large balcony have been expanded to three bedrooms. The two new suites also include three and a half bathrooms, a fully renovated living room, new balcony furniture and a new separate dining room overlooking the forward-facing The Haven Horizon Lounge.
The adults-only Vibe Beach Club also underwent an expansion and now sports a similar layout to the Vibe Beach Club available on Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Bliss, with new private luxe cabanas.
In all, Norwegian Joy has 21 bars and lounges, 16 complimentary and specialty restaurants, and a quarter-mile oceanfront promenade with views of the ocean. The vessel also offers activities for every type of traveler such as the Norwegian Joy Speedway, an Aqua Park, a mini-golf course and entertainment including “Elements” and “Deal or No Deal.”
Norwegian Joy emerged from its three-week dry dock in Rotterdam, Netherlands on February 11, 2024, before embarking on an 11-day transatlantic voyage from Southampton to Miami. The ship is offering seven-day, round-trip Caribbean voyages from Miami before sailing to New York in summer, offering cruises to Bermuda with overnights at the island. Guests can book Norwegian Joy cruises with NCL’s “Free at Sea” program which offers complimentary add-ons such as unlimited open bar, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, shore excursion credits, and on select voyages third and fourth guests sail free, as well as free airfare for the second guest.
