Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, the maritime attraction that invites locals and visitors alike to see the city of New York from the water, has announced two celebratory cruises for the festive season.
The “Christmas Eve Dinner Cruise” invites families and friends to experience the festive lights of the city while enjoying an Italian-style buffet dinner with Chicken Parmigiana, Eggplant Rollatini, Antipasti, and Caprese Salad, and with a plethora of desserts. A standard open bar will pour beer, wine, cocktails and more, and a DJ will spin everyone’s favorite holiday tunes. There will also be a piano player and singer to lead the guests in Christmas carols.
It's a one cruise only, sailing Friday, December 24, 2021 in rain, snow or moonlight, as necessary. Tickets for adults will cost $199; while for children ages three-12 it is $179; children under three are free. With boarding at 6:30 p.m., the cruise will depart at 7 p.m. from Pier 83 in Midtown. It will return at 9:30 p.m. All passengers must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
The second cruise is the “New Year’s Eve Cruise,” a fireworks cruise on the Hudson River, which will serve up eye-widening views of the NYC skyline and the Statue of Liberty plus a DJ spinning dancing tunes. This special cruise will offer passed hors d'oeuvres and a standard open bar with beer, wine, and cocktails. At midnight, all guest can celebrate 2022 with a Champagne toast.
It’s a one cruise only, sailing Friday, December 31, 2021, in rain, snow or moonlight, as necessary. Tickets are for $199 for ages 21 plus with valid photo ID only. Guests will board at 9 p.m. and depart at 10 p.m. from Pier 83 in Midtown; while returning at 1 a.m. Dress code is casual and all passengers must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Consistent with New York City regulations, all Circle Line excursions require passengers to present proof of vaccination prior to boarding. The proof may be a vaccine card, a picture of valid card, the NYC COVID Safe App, the Excelsior Pass app or an official immunization record from outside NYC or the U.S. but all proof must be accompanied by a valid ID. There are no exceptions for medical or religious reasons. Children under 12 are exempt; children between 12 and 18 must have proof but are not required to have a valid ID. The new regulation also makes clear that a negative COVID test (PCR, rapid) cannot be used as substitute for proof of vaccination. When passengers are inside the cabin and not eating or drinking, they must wear masks.
