Oceania Cruises has announced that the newly restyled Riviera will sail in Asia for the first time due to increased guest demand this 2023/24 season. The 1,238-passenger ship will chart its inaugural season in the region, sailing through Arabia, India, Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines.
The new season brings 25 voyages ranging from 10 to 82 days. Additionally, Regatta and Nautica will expand the line’s offerings in the South Pacific, with more opportunities to explore New Zealand, Australia and French Polynesia. The sailings have nearly doubled the seasonal availability with 121 itineraries available for bookings across Riviera, Regatta, Insignia and Nautica.
Riviera’s rejuvenation encompassed all staterooms and suites. Highlights of the project include:
- Concierge Level Veranda Staterooms and Veranda Staterooms are the largest standard staterooms at 291 square feet; the stateroom bathrooms were also restyled
- Public spaces have all been elevated with plush new carpets and leather-covered armchairs
- All the lounges, bars and dining venues have been revamped
- A new trattoria for alfresco dining serves wood-fired pizzas, grilled Italian specialties, salads and desserts every evening
Riviera will sail 25 voyages, ranging from 10 to 82 days, offering experiences in ports such as Cochin, Yangon, Busan, Phuket and Bangkok.
Regatta and Nautica offer itineraries across the South Pacific and French Polynesia, with over 20 voyages highlighting ports such as Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea, Rangiroa and Raiatea. These South Pacific sailings offer a selection of cruises, with voyages ranging from 10 to 41 days, including a return to Australia and New Zealand for Regatta; and Nautica sailing through Arabia, India and Southeast Asia.

The 12-day “Land of the Rising Sun” round-trip from Tokyo offers an exploration of Japan onboard Riviera in March and April 2024. Ports of call include Kagoshima, Nagasaki, Beppu, Hiroshima and an overnight stay in Kyoto.
The 72-day “Epic Eastern Explorer” itinerary onboard Riviera departs early January 2024, sailing from Mumbai to Tokyo. Overnight calls include Male, Colombo, Singapore, Hanoi, Shanghai, Saigon, Seoul, Kyoto and Tokyo, plus two-night stays in Yangon, Bangkok and Hong Kong. Other voyage highlights include Manila, Hue, Nha Trang, Phuket, Penang and Kuala Lumpur.
The 34-day “Constellation of Islands” from Singapore to Papeete, onboard Nautica, departs in late December 2023. Itinerary highlights include an overnight call in Bali and Bora Bora, plus visits to Papeete, Darwin, Cairns, Suva and three days cruising the Coral Sea.
The 14-day “Empires of Asia” voyage onboard Regatta, sails from Tokyo to Hong Kong in late October 2023. Itinerary highlights include overnight calls in Kyoto, Shanghai and Hong Kong, plus visits to Taipei and Kaohsiung, and Japanese ports including Kagoshima and Hiroshima.
