Pearl Seas Cruises Unveils Great Lakes 2019 Summer Season

Pearl Seas Cruises has announced its 2019 summer season on the Great Lakes.

From June through August, Pearl Seas is providing two Great Lakes cruising experiences: an 11-night Great Lakes & Georgian Bay itinerary and a shorter seven-night Great Lakes itinerary. Both itineraries operate between Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Toronto, Canada, and visit several American and Canadian ports of call.

Pearl Seas’ guests aboard the Pearl Mist, a 210-passenger ship, will experience views from their private balconies (offered in every stateroom). Great Lakes cruises also offer all-inclusive fine dining, complimentary cocktails each evening and complimentary beer and wine with lunch and dinner, as well as award-winning onboard enrichment programs, entertainment, and guided shore excursions at every port.

Two Itineraries: The 11-night Great Lakes & Georgian Bay itinerary treads down four of the Great Lakes (Michigan, Huron, Erie and Ontario), as well as Georgian Bay, a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve. The 11-night itinerary also provides a visit to Niagara Falls, where guests can take a boat tour of Horseshoe Falls. Pearl Seas’ seven-night Great Lakes itinerary cruises through two of the Great Lakes (Michigan & Huron). Pearl Seas Cruises says that along both itineraries, guests will check out the largest freshwater ecosystem in the world, while experiencing ports and the culture and tales of those who shaped this region: Native Americans, early explorers, traders, and European settlers.

Shore/Port Highlights: Pearl Seas’ 2019 cruises offer several guided shore excursions in American and Canadian ports on the Great Lakes. In addition to Niagara Falls, guests will visit Muskegon, Michigan, nicknamed the “Riviera of the Midwest,” and the town of Holland, Michigan, founded by the Dutch in 1847, and home to the only authentic working Dutch windmill in America. In Windsor, Ontario, guests can check out the Canadian “City of Roses” and learn the backstory of the automobile at the Henry Ford Museum. On Mackinac Island, Michigan, guests can tour the island in antiquity by riding in a horse drawn carriage and having lunch afterwards on the veranda of the historic Grand Hotel. Finally, from a base in Parry Sound, Ontario, guests can depart by seaplane on an aerial tour of the South Channel and Killbear Provincial Park.

Pre-cruise: Pearl Seas offers a premium pre-cruise hotel package on all 2019 Great Lakes cruises departing from Milwaukee, as well as transportation between airports, hotels, and the ship, in both Toronto and Milwaukee.

In addition to this voyage, the Pearl Mist is also heading to Cuba in spring 2019. The ship will take travelers to several locations, including Finca Vigia (the home of Ernest Hemingway, the art galleries of Trinidad and the Botanical Gardens in Cienfuegos.
