PONANT, a French cruise ship operator, is releasing its winter 2019-2020 brochure.
Le Bougainville and Le Dumont-d’Urville, the latest additions to the PONANT EXPLORERS series, will launch April 15, 2019, and August 7, 2019, respectively. With these additions, the fleet totals nine.
New Itineraries:
Maya Treasure of the Yucatán: this travel program around the Yucatán Peninsula will feature Mayan sites like Uxmal, Palenque and Chichen Itza. Also included is a stop at the capital state of Merida, a guided tour of a cacao plantation and a visit to Chaak Tun cenote.
- Le Champlain | From Puerto Morelos to Puerto Morelos (Cancùn) | 8 days/7 nights Departs November 16, 2019; six additional departures will be offered between November 2019 and January 2020; Prices start from €2,560 (approximately $2,962) per person, based on double occupancy.
Adventure in Orinoco: this part of the itinerary includes excursions along the Orinoco River in Zodiac dinghies to see wildlife and interact with the Warao tribe.

Antarctica: Under a team of naturalist guides, PONANT will lead its passengers to Antarctica’s icy landscapes and wildlife. There will be more than 20 departures during the winter 2019-2020 season.
