Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. has rolled out a number of new updates for its Espresso travel agent reservations system. The new features are a continuation of updates the cruise company has been making to the reservation system, which covers the Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises brands, since its launch.
The new features, which Royal Caribbean said it designed based on travel agent feedback, are:
- Category Swaps Made Easy – Travel partners managing a group booking can now seamlessly reserve a certain category of stateroom that is not in their group block by switching out staterooms with available inventory. Professionals can enjoy making that booking as quickly as they can swap out the stateroom online.
- Interactive Deck Plans – The interactive deck plans feature is now live across all types of reservations made on Espresso. Travel partners who may need to reserve a specific stateroom for a traveler among a large group can do so when they first set up the group block online, with a trusty visual aid that cuts out the need to go back and forth in the process.
- Tour Conductor (TC) Credit Notifications – Adding to the intuitive purpose of the system, this new feature will automatically let agents know the number of additional bookings needed to earn their next TC credit, which they can use to increase their profitability. This is key to assisting travel partners as they make reservations between their group block or as individual bookings, Royal Caribbean said.
More major new features are planned for early next year.
