Royal Caribbean has opened travel advisor bookings for its Coco Beach Club premium area in its newly revamped private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay, in the Bahamas.
Described as the home of the first over-water cabanas in the Bahamas, Coco Beach has a total capacity of 450 guests. Available to book now, the private, premium area includes 20 floating cabanas and 10 landside cabanas, each accommodating up to eight guests. Coco Beach is also home to a club house, an oceanfront infinity pool, complimentary dining at The Grille at Coco Beach, day beds and elevated amenities and services. To gain access to Coco Beach Club, guests sailing to Perfect Day at CocoCay can book in advance for a fee.
The new beach club area is part of Perfect Day at CocoCay, which the cruise line recently revamped with a $250 million investment. The Coco Beach Club, including its cabanas, were not operational when we visited the private island destination this past May, although guests were able to check out other features, such as the 135-foot Daredevil’s Tower slide, the Wave Pool, the Adventure Pool, and more.
While the Bahamian islands of Grand Bahama and the Abacos were heavily damaged by this summer’s Hurricane Dorian, the rest of the Bahamas, including CocoCay and other cruise line private island destinations, were able to reopen for business shortly after the storm’s passage. Bahamian tourism officials recently partnered with Travel Leaders Group to encourage travel to the destination in order to help fund recovery efforts.
