Royal Caribbean will send four ships to Alaska in summer 2028, with seven-night sailings from Seattle, Vancouver, and Seward running April through September. Bookings are open now to Crown & Anchor Society loyalty members through the line’s website.
Anthem of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas, and Voyager of the Seas make up the deployment. Seattle gets two of the four ships, while Anthem is the only one sailing from Seward and the only one pairing its cruises with land extensions.
Anthem of the Seas (Seward and Vancouver): Anthem will sail between the two ports from May to September, calling at Ketchikan and visiting Hubbard Glacier. For advisors building longer trips, the ship’s sailings can be combined with Cruisetours of two to six nights before or after the cruise, including itineraries to Denali National Park.
Ovation of the Seas (Seattle): Sailing May to September, Ovation will visit Sitka, Skagway, and Juneau, along with Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. The ship will arrive with additions from its Royal Amplified refurbishment, including the Sound Cellar music venue and the Pesky Parrot tiki bar.
Serenade of the Seas (Vancouver): Serenade’s May-to-September program includes Icy Strait Point, Juneau, and Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The smallest ship in the lineup, it is built with more than three acres of exterior glass, a selling point for clients who care most about the scenery.
Voyager of the Seas (Seattle): Voyager has the longest season, starting in April and running through September. Its itineraries call at Sitka, Juneau, and Skagway, plus Victoria, British Columbia, and the ship’s ice rink, laser tag, and mini golf make it a natural fit for families.
Clients embarking in Seward will use a new cruise terminal developed by Royal Caribbean Group and the Alaska Railroad. The facility sits next to the railroad’s station, which simplifies transfers for Cruisetour guests, and it will double as a year-round community space for sports and youth programs.
