Seabourn has launched its series of cruise itineraries to Alaska and British Columbia for the summer, with voyages leaving until September 25. The Seabourn Sojourn, a 458-guest ship, will leave from Seward, Alaska, and Vancouver, British Columbia, for 11-, 12- and 14-day trips.
Depending on the chosen trip, passengers can visit secluded locations like Alert Bay and Klemtu, a less than 500-person town belonging to the Kitasoo Native Band. The Seabourn Sojourn will also take guests past the forests and towns of the Inland Passage, provide views of the Holgate Glacier and pass near the humpback whales of the Kenai Fjords.
The cruise will also stop in the state capital of Juneau, the city of Ketchikan, and Sitka, a historical town with Tlingit roots 10,000 years old.
Ventures by Seabourn provides optional extra-charge Zodiac and kayak trips led by nature, science, wildlife and historical experts. This team will provide presentations guiding guests through the passing environment.
Seabourn is also offering the Denali Experience, a five-day overland journey that can be added before or after certain voyages. This option will provide guests with views far above glaciers during a sightseeing flight. The trip will also take clients on foot into Denali National Park with a guide to help spot wildlife, such as grizzly and black bears, wolves, moose, caribou and more.
