SeaDream Yacht Club is expanding its fleet with SeaDream Innovation.
SeaDream Innovation will introduce the concept of “Global Yachting.” It will sail to all seven continents in its first year, once it sets for the seas in September 2021. Visiting over 200 ports in 49 countries, guests will explore destinations, including Svalbard, the Northwest Passage, Antarctica, the fjords of Norway, Japan, New Zealand, the Fiji Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Renovations are now open for the inaugural season.
SeaDream Innovation was built to lower fuel consumption and emissions while minimizing disturbance to surrounding wildlife. By incorporating the latest eco-friendly technologies and advances, the 16,800 gross ton, 61. 5 meter vessel can sail silently and without emissions for up to three hours. It includes 110 appointed, ocean-view suites with a one-to-one guest to crew ratio, three marinas and outdoor dining.
“We were drawn to Damen Shipyards for their excellent reputation and proven track record as innovators in the shipbuilding industry,” said Atle Brynestad, Owner, Chairman and CEO of SeaDream in a written release.
In 2001, Brynestad introduced travelers to the SeaDream yachting experience, replacing tuxedos and formal evenings with somewhat more casual ones. Prior to SeaDream, the Norwegian entrepreneur was the sole owner and founder of Seabourn Cruise Line.
