Variety Cruises is venturing to new destinations and planning a major sales and marketing push in the United States to target the travel trade. That’s according to Yiannis Vontas, EVP and partner in the small-ship cruise line, which is based in Athens, Greece and has a sales office in New York City.
Other news? Variety Cruises is going plastic free in 2020 and Vontas says that it’s because Variety Cruises, which also uses only diesel fuel, goes to unique, intimate destinations where it has to be mindful of its impact.
“That basically makes us a very, very clean company when it comes to the carbon footprint we leave in the places we visit,” he tells us.
Itineraries include the Mediterranean, the Seychelles, French Polynesia, Indonesia, the Adriatic, Cuba, Costa Rica & Panama, West Africa and Iceland.
