Chef Jacques Haeringer, proprietor and executive chef of L’Auberge Chez Francois in Great Falls, Virginia, will join guests on the August 14 westbound sailing of Tauck’s “Danube Reflections” itinerary, and Chef Luca Manfé of the Fox television series MasterChef will travel on a special sailing of Tauck’s westbound “Blue Danube” itinerary beginning on October 28 as part of a host of culinary experiences on two Tauck Danube River cruises.
Chef Manfé is the season four champion of the television series MasterChef. MasterChef is a competitive cooking show judged by award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay, restaurateur and winemaker Joe Bastianich, and acclaimed chef Graham Elliot. It is the number-one prime-time summer program on Fox. Chef Manfé is also the author of the cookbook “My Italian Kitchen,” showcasing the culinary traditions of his native Friuli region in Italy.
Recently, Tauck announced it will offer its first-ever cruises on the Douro River in Portugal next year. The company's ms Andorinha ship will offer a seven-night Douro cruise with two-night hotel stays in Lisbon and Madrid, an eight-day "cruise-only" itinerary along the river and an eight-day Tauck Bridges cruise created with families in mind for four departures scheduled for late June/early July 2020.
