UnCruise Adventures has announced its 2019 schedule of cruises. New itineraries include 10- and 12- night trips in Costa Rica and Panama, a wine and food cruise in Oregon and one new southeast Alaska sailing.
The small ship adventure cruise company operates eight ships and a partner vessel in the Galapagos. UnCruise Adventures offers a variety of ways for passengers to explore their destinations, such as kayaking, paddle boarding, skiff trips, hiking, bushwhacking, biking, snorkeling and rafting. Its cruises range from 22 to 90 guests and sail in or along Alaska, Washington, the Columbia and Snake Rivers, the Sea of Cortés, Hawaii, the Galapagos, Costa Rica and Panama.
Costa Rica and Panama
Starting in April 2019 and sailing through September, the Safari Voyager will make nine runs of the new 12-night Pure Panama & Costa Rica cruise. In Panama, passengers will pass through the Panama Canal and visit the Guna Yala Islands, Fort San Lorenzo, Pearl Islands, an Embera village and Coiba National Park. Then in Costa Rica, guests will see the Golfo Dulce, Osa Conservation Area and Curú National Wildlife Refuge.
In November and December 2019, UnCruise Adventures will offer five 10-night cruises traveling to all the same destinations except the Guna Yala Islands in Panama. Travelers can also choose the eight-night Unveiled Wonders trip. Sailing between Costa Rica and Panama 15 times, this itinerary starts in January 2019 and departs for the last time April 12.
Columbia and Snake River Cruise
UnCruise Adventures will also begin offering the weeklong Rivers of Wine & Culinary cruise from November to December 2019. Sailing six times roundtrip from Portland, the itinerary includes stops at several wineries, a brewery and a cidery. Guests will visit Astoria, Hood River, Columbia River Gorge, Walla Walla, Palouse Falls State Park, The Dalles and Willamette Valley.
The company will also offer eight departures for the weeklong Rivers of Adventure cruise. The trip sails between Oregon and Alaska, offering a variety of hiking, biking, kayaking and other adventure options.
Southeast Alaska
Visitors to Alaska can choose between seven small ships, 142 departures and 11 itineraries in 2019. UnCruise Adventures will sail one new itinerary, Alaska’s Glacier Country. The trip will take passengers to Glacier Bay National Park, Icy Strait, Endicott Arm, Dawes Glacier and Fords Terror Wilderness Area. Guests will also have the opportunity for whale-watching in Chatham Strait and Frederick Sound.
Mexico’s Sea of Cortés
The Safari Endeavour will sail the weeklong Baja’s Bounty itinerary 16 times from January to March and December 2019. Passengers will explore remote islands, snorkel with sea lions, hike in the desert and either swim with whale sharks or see grey whales and calves close up.
Galapagos Islands
UnCruise Adventures will offer six seven-night Darwin’s Discoveries itineraries. Aboard La Pinta, passengers will travel from Guayaquil and see seven islands and islets of the Galapagos. Activities include snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, glass-bottom boating, hiking and a trip to the Charles Darwin Research Center to see giant tortoises.
Hawaii
From January to March and November through December, the Safari Explorer will make 22 one-way trips between Moloka’i and Hawai’i, or vice versa. The Hawaiian Seascapes itinerary also stops in Maui and Lana’i. Passengers will experience traditional local culture, snorkel and look for marine life on small boat explorations.
Coastal Washington
The 22-guest Safari Quest will sail 15 departures in spring and fall 2019 on the Explore! Olympic Wilderness and San Juan Islands itinerary. Passengers will travel roundtrip from Seattle, hiking and kayaking around Washington and exploring the Puget Sound, the Olympic Peninsula and the San Juan Islands.
