As the industry counts down to Wave Season, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has announced a new ad campaign, incentive and loyalty program all aimed at driving business to travel advisors.
The line’s three-pronged strategy includes an ad campaign, newly launched this month, with a 30-second spot showcasing Uniworld’s culinary offerings, ship design and shore excursions. The spot closes with a call-to-action inviting consumers to contact their preferred travel advisor.
Uniworld has also introduced a new Floating Deposit concept. As before, when guests book onboard they can lock in a 3 percent discount for their next cruise; but now, when they put down a $500 deposit, they do not have to decide on the exact cruise until later. This offer is combinable with regular River Heritage Club (RHC) member benefits and any other offer in the market at the time of the final booking, which is credited to the travel advisor on file. Uniworld says that the new feature allows travel advisors to both encourage guests to book onboard and to advise them on where to travel later.
Finally, the line has launched a new referral incentive for RHC members. Members that refer a friend or family member to Uniworld will receive a $100 credit per person towards their next cruise, and the friend or family member will receive a $100 credit per person on their first cruise. This benefit is available on new bookings only. Now available for a select group, the program will go live for all members in November, Uniworld said. There is no limit on how many referral credits an RHC member can receive, and credits are combinable with their existing member benefits.
