The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) has announced that Hurricane Tammy has passed near to Anguilla with minimal impact and reaffirmed that the island is fully open for business. While the storm did bring some wind and rain, ATB said there are no reports of damage or injury to people or property. The hurricane warning has been discontinued for Anguilla.
As of October 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., all normal operations resumed at the air and seaports. The temporary closure of the Clayton J Lloyd International Airport, Blowing Point Ferry Terminal, Road Bay Port and Anguilla/St. Maarten Ferry Terminal was a precautionary measure during the passage of Hurricane Tammy.
ATB said that safety and well-being of everyone on the island remain the top priority and it appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all residents, visitors and staff during this period of precautionary action.
