Following a significant decrease in COVID-19 infections, Argentina once again began welcoming fully vaccinated international travelers from all over the world (having officially reopened on November 1). Entry into the South American country will not require a quarantine for fully vaccinated travelers who can provide a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to entering the country. Specific entry requirements include complete vaccination schedule dated at least 14 days prior to arrival in the country and a negative PCR result within 72 hours prior to entering Argentina.
Travelers flying domestically between Argentina’s various regions, to and from Buenos Aires, will not be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test. With Argentina currently entering its summer season, now is a good time to experience its array of offerings, ranging from a fútbol match in Buenos Aires, hiking to a glacier in Los Glaciares National Park, horseback riding through a Mendoza winery, whale watching at Valdés Peninsula and witnessing the rushing water of Iguazú Falls.
In addition to Argentina’s border reopening, dance clubs and large scale events of more than 1,000 people have been authorized to open at a 50 percent capacity to fully vaccinated attendees. As far as flight schedules go, Argentinian Airlines will have nine weekly flights between Miami and Buenos Aires beginning November. It will also operate five weekly flights between New York and Buenos Aires in November, which will increase to six weekly in December.
American Airlines will operate 13 weekly flights between Miami and Buenos Aires in November and two daily in December. It will have one daily flight connecting New York to Buenos Aires and one daily between Dallas and Buenos Aires. Delta Air Lines will operate three weekly flights between Atlanta and Buenos Aires in November and increase that to four weekly flights in December. While United Airlines will operate one daily flight between Houston and Buenos Aires. Air Canada will operate five weekly flights connecting Toronto, San Pablo and Buenos Aires starting December.
