With the opening of Disney's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge just a few weeks away, Disney Parks has announced that reservations will be available May 2.The new Star Wars-themed park is set to open on May 31 at Disneyland Resort in Southern California and August 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. For plans to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort between May 31 and June 23, 2019, a reservation and theme park admission is required. There is no additional cost to make a reservation, but reservations are subject to availability.
On opening day for phase one, guests can be a part of the story at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge as they sample "galactic" food and beverages, as well as explore a collection of merchant shops and hop aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
Guests will also engage in missions, games and in-queue experiences while visiting Black Spire Outpost and using the Play Disney Parks mobile app. For guests planning to be among the first to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, details about making reservations are available on the Disney Parks Blog. In addition, guests staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel between May 31 and June 23, 2019, will receive a designated reservation to access Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge during their stay. There is one reservation per registered guest and each guest is required to have valid theme park admission. If the hotel reservation is cancelled, the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge reservation will also be cancelled. Also, access to certain experiences in the land are subject to capacity and other factors as well as additional restrictions may apply.
Specific details on how to make reservations will be available on the Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland.com on May 2 at 8 a.m. PT. You must have a Disney Account to register for a reservation, and Disney advises guests to create one before registration opens at 10 a.m. PT.
