Honolulu Biennial, happening on the island of Oahu through May 8, is a new, contemporary visual arts festival featuring displays and events at multiple locations throughout the city.

The Slack Key Guitar & Ukulele Concert
Award winning concert artists Doug and Sandy McMaster take the stage at All Saints’ Church Sanctuary on Kauai on April 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. The two have 10 CDs to perpetuate the knowledge and experience of the endangered art form of traditional Hawaiian slack key guitar and ukulele.
Guided by the kupuna (elders), they have dedicated their lives to continuing the family tradition of slack key music. Proceeds support the All Saints' Pipe Organ Rebuild Project and this program.

Art Maui 2017
Going on now until April 30, Hawaii welcomes back the Art Maui organization to present their 39th annual juried exhibit, pulled together by a dedicated volunteer board of directors. Guests can expect to see a broad range of ideas and talent from the state's growing community of artists in a variety of media including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, jewelry, fiber and sculpture.

Mele Mei 2017
Running now through June 1, Mele Mei 2017 is the celebration of Hawaii's music, hula and culture. Music and hula events are held from April through June at various hotels, venues, on the beach and statewide. From ukulele to steel guitar, traditional Hawaiian music to slack key, island reggae to rock-and everything in between-Mele Mei has something for everyone.
