To increase awareness of Grenada's range of boutique hotels and villas, the Ministry of Tourism and Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) have launched “Simple Stays Grenada,” consisting of 16 properties located in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. These islands offer budget-friendly accommodations for travelers to enjoy an intimate Caribbean escape.
According to Petra Roach, CEO of the GTA, “The goal of this project is to showcase these properties and their special appeal and support them in our overall pandemic recovery.”
Properties which are part of the initiative include Allamanda Beach Resort, Bogles Round House, Bougainvillea Apartments, Carriacou Grand View Hotel, Grenada Tropicana Inn, Hotel Laurena, John’s Unique Resort, Melodies Guesthouse, Mount Edgecombe Plantation, Point Salines Hotel, SeaBreeze Hotel, Siesta Hotel, South Winds Apartments & Cottages, The Town House and Wave Crest Suites.
Guests reserving accommodations at any of the "Simple Stays" properties can avail discounts, up to 50 percent off, for a host of activities.
Beyond the accommodations, visitors can go on a family-friendly river tubing adventure at Balthazar Estate in St. Andrews. Cayaks offers guided tour experiences of the southwestern coast of Grenada. Visitors can explore the ocean and marine life, all from within the comfort and safety of transparent, premium kayaks. Eco Dive is a full-service PADI-certified and freediving center that provides training in both English and French. Services include scuba diving trips and PADI training, snorkeling and freediving excursions, and water sports including kayaks, and standup paddle-boards.
Hidden Treasure Tours offers hikes along Grenada’s northern terrain. Tours include various endurance levels and take visitors to lesser-known waterfalls and ridges. Located in the heart of Saint George, Tri-Island Chocolate is the first open-to-the-public “tree-to-bar” chocolate factory in the capital of Grenada. Tours offer an opportunity to learn about cocoa and chocolate and other locally sourced produce.
