A number of famous artists announced residencies at Las Vegas hotels and resorts this month.
Lady Antebellum, the current CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” nominee, announced their first-ever Las Vegas residency, “Our Kind of Vegas,” launching February 8, 2019, the Palms Casino Resort’s Pearl Concert Theater. Lady Antebellum will be the first country act to headline the venue, the seven-time Grammy award-winning trio will host stripped-down performances each night that will often feature the songwriters behind the group’s songs. Live Nation is the official promoter on this residency.
Meanwhile, Britney Spears is gearing up to launch her new residency, “Britney: Domination,” at Park Theater at the new Park MGM resort in February 2019. The new show will aim to embody her strong, take-charge attitude, with performances from Spears’ catalogue of hit songs.
At Caesars Palace, Puddles Pity Party – the soft-hearted, seven-foot-tall singing clown – has announced his first-ever artist residency, which will take place over the course of nine nights at Cleopatra’s Barge from January 17 through February 9, 2019. Puddles’ set will consist of new material as well as classic, rarely performed songs, along with a number of surprises. The show will also be custom designed to suit the unique layout and décor of Cleopatra’s Barge.
Finally, the legendary rock band Chicago has announced it will return to The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas for an eight-show limited engagement in 2019. The show will be held on February 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 20, 22 and 23 at 8 p.m.
