PromPeru, the official tourism board for Peru, is hosting the second edition of Peru Calling Virtual Xpo on November 3 and 4. The event will see travel advisors from the U.S., Canada and the U.K. attending the virtual networking event to take place between 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. (EDT). For those unable to attend, the event will be available on-demand for 30 days, which will see a greater reach among travel advisors, imparting updates about the multicultural nation.
The event is aimed at educating advisors about Promperu and its amalgam of traditions, gastronomy, and vast natural reserves. There will also be engaging breakout sessions.
María del Sol Velásquez, director of tourism promotion at PromPeru, said in a press announcement that the event was planned to build on the success of the Peru Calling Virtual Xpo in 2020. “We wanted to bring back this event to advisors in 2021 in a two-day event,” she said. Building on the theme, fresh features, such as one-on-one pre-scheduled meetings to help travel advisors to connect with Peruvian suppliers, has also been added.
The Peruvian Tourism Board, PromPeru, will be accompanied by 24 exhibitors representing tour operators, accommodations, airlines, river cruises, trains and museums to connect with advisors through the live chat. A limited number of travel advisors will be invited to pre-scheduled appointments with the suppliers who will be participating in this event.
Exhibitors will share exclusive special offers and discounts. The event will also reward the advisors with partners giveaways and $1,000 in Amazon gift cards.
