Qatar has introduced its new “Qatar. Qurated For You” global destination campaign, the first of its kind for the country. The campaign is intended to highlight the country’s tailored visitor experiences that celebrate its heritage.
As part of the Qurated campaign, the country’s tourism department is partnering with travel platforms like TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet and global television networks such as CNN. Promotional materials will run across print, TV and digital platforms in each market’s language.
The announcement comes weeks after the Qatar Tourism Authority became the Qatar National Tourism Council. The restructuring is intended to pave the way for implementing key initiatives in the public and private sectors that solidify tourism infrastructure and provide for unique visitor experiences.
“We look forward to bringing the spirit of Qurated to life, on people’s television screens, in airports around the world, and eventually here in Qatar,” said Rashed AlQurese, Chief Marketing & Promotion Officer at QNTC.
The new governance model and global promotion campaign are key parts of a new strategy launched in 2017: The Next Chapter of the National Tourism Sector Strategy. The changes are also accompanied by the country’s revised visa policies that, according to the World Trade Organization, have made it the most open country in the Middle East and the eight most open in the world.
