More than 20 properties in Saint Lucia are providing a vacation guarantee for the hurricane season.
The eastern Caribbean island nation reports that hotel operators associated with the Saint Lucia Hotel Association and Tourism Association formulated this vacation guarantee, so travelers could confidently book their vacations at any time. The program covers vacations affected because of a hurricane and cancellations made before arrival.
The guarantee is implemented when a hurricane warning is announced by the Saint Lucia Meteorological Service and provides a waiver of cancellation penalties and the chance to re-book a vacation.
Hotels offering holiday guarantees include Coco Palm Resort; Rex Resorts; Harmony Marina Suites; Hotel Chocolat; Ti Kaye Resort & Spa; Villa Beach Cottages; Bay Gardens Resorts; Cleopatra Villas; Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort; Stonefield Villa Resort; Sugar Beach- A Viceroy Resort; Villa C'est La Vie; Marigot Beach Club; Dive Harmony Marina Suites; St. James Club; Calabash Cove, and Castles in Paradise.
These hotels have their own holiday guarantee: Harmony Marina Suites; Body Holiday Saint Lucia; St. James Club Morgan Bay; Calabash Cove; Bay Gardens; Royalton Saint Lucia Resorts & Spa; Castles In Paradise; Bel Jou; Palm Haven; Oasis Marigot; Sandals Resorts.
The guarantee does not include tropical storms (wind speeds less than 74mph)
