There’s plenty going on in the capital of Catalonia this spring. Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona has compiled several events that travelers need to be aware of, each showcasing the very best of Barcelona and offering guests experiences that are unlike any other.
Here are a few vibrant events taking place in the Catalan capital this spring:
Saint Jordi Day (April 23) – During the Sant Jordi Day taking place throughout the Catalonia region, a host of activities will occur in the city and on Passeig de Gracia, the area’s most famous boulevard (and also where Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona is located). Sant Jordi Day is the quintessential celebration in Barcelona, embodying Catalan culture and romance.
Spanish Grand Prix (May 10) – Hosted in Barcelona, the Spanish Grand Prix is all about high speed and adrenaline. The Circuit de Catalunya will welcome the world’s most talented drivers to race the tracks on May 10. For the luxury- and thrill-seeking travelers left with the urge to race a car, Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona offers guests the opportunity to hand-pick a luxury vehicle, including a Lamborghini, Ferrari or Porsche, to drive around the city. After taking in Barcelona’s vibrant streets, guests will then race at a professional racetrack. Located on the outskirts of Barcelona, travelers can select additional 500-horsepower exotic cars to drive once at the track, an experience that is as unforgettable as it is heart-pumping
Barcelona Hotel Terrace Week (June 7–16) – Barcelona Hotel Terrace Week marks the beginning of the summer season in the city. Organized by the Barcelona Hotel Association, many hotels in the Catalan capital arrange a series of leisure and cultural activities on their respective terraces. A yearly participant, Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona’s renovated rooftop terrace, La Dolce Vitae, conveys a sense of luxury and coziness that allows guests to enjoy views of the city’s remarkable landmarks, including its most popular, Sagrada Familia.
At the rooftop terrace, the menu is curated by the hotel’s gastronomic advisor and Michelin-star chef Nandu Jubany and executive chef David Romero.
