Fall of 2022 promises to be one of the best and brightest cultural seasons in Paris in years. The city is in full swing with concerts, ballets, operas, festivals, and museum exhibitions and we’ve compiled a list of the top events.
Frida Kahlo – Beyond Appearances
This sweeping exhibition explores the essence and the more private side of one of the great 20th century artists, Frida Kahlo. More than 200 objects from Kahlo’s former home Casa Azul, where she was born, are on display and includes clothing, fashion accessories, photos, films, letters and correspondences, cosmetics, and medical equipment related to her ailments and illnesses. Many of the pieces have been sealed since her death in 1954 by her husband artist Diego Rivera and are on display for the first time. There’s an adjunct exhibit where fashion designers and houses such as Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, Maria Grazia Chiuri for Dior, pay tribute to Kahlo and her fashion and style inspiration.
Available: September 15, 2022, to March 5, 2023, at the Palais Galliera.

Every fall there’s a big celebration to kick off the grape harvest, where the vineyard is open to the public for tours and auctions off the wine. The four-day event also includes live music, a children’s choir, food stalls, a brass band, a parade, a dance performance, a 5K run, and a closing night ball.
