AMResorts has announced that the popular all-inclusive chain is working on major expansion plans in Mexico.
According to an AMResorts news release, AMResorts is planning to have more than 60 resorts in its regional portfolio by the end of 2019. That portfolio will include more than 24,000 rooms across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, in a total of 30 destinations.
AMResorts recently announced the signing of four new resort management contracts. The resort management contracts are for Now Natura Riviera Cancun, Secrets Punta de Mita, Dreams Punta de Mita and Secrets Marina Resort and Spa.
Now Natura Riviera Cancun will be the first new build for the brand in Mexico’s Riviera Maya. The 534-room beachfront resort is a 10-mile drive from the Cancun International Airport. The resort, which plans to cater to Millennials, will begin welcoming guests in late 2019.
AMResorts’ other new Mexican-Caribbean property, Secrets Marina Resort & Spa, will be a 407-room resort and will open in 2020. It will be located in the Marina El Cid development and about 35 minutes north of Playa del Carmen and 30 minutes south of the Cancun International Airport.
Secrets Punta de Mita Resort & Spa and Dreams Punta de Mita Resort & Spa are set to open in late 2020. The 200-room Secrets and 415-room Dreams will be located in Bahia de Banderas in Punta de Mita, a once small fishing village that today has become a top destination in the Riviera Nayarit region.
