Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas has launched a “Marine Life Camping Adventure." The experience will be available until August 27, 2022.
Guests can enjoy an overnight getaway under the Bahamian sky while connecting with marine life through behind-the-scenes tours of the undersea world of Atlantis, where they will see The Royal Towers Fish Hospital, Rehab Center and Fish Kitchen. The dusk-to-dawn VIP marine life adventure includes a twilight snorkel; and the chance to meet sea turtles, the resort’s pod of rescued dolphins and family of sea lions.
Guests will sleep in climate-controlled canvas tents, along the shores of Atlantis’ Dolphin Cay habitat. The all-weather tents feature Adirondack chairs, plush couches and cushioned cots. Amenities include a coffee pot, tea kettle, a mini-fridge and a snack basket. Guests can add wine, beer and light bites to their package. Campers have access to adjacent bathrooms and shower facilities, plus outdoor showers nearby. Guests can also enjoy movies and games on the lawn, and a campfire on the beach with s’mores.
An Atlantis room reservation is required to book this experience, and the minimum age for occupancy is six years. A portion of the proceeds goes towards the non-profit Atlantis Blue Project Foundation, dedicated to saving sea species and their habitats throughout the Bahamas and surrounding Caribbean seas.
