The Prime Group, Inc. and Aimbridge Hospitality have announced the planned opening of The LaSalle Hotel in early February 2022 in the center of Chicago’s Loop. Occupying the top five floors of the historic building at 208 S. LaSalle, adjacent to the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the 232-room hotel will cater to business as well as leisure travelers.
Designed by DiLeonardo International and Chipman Design Architecture, the hotel has a classic Art Deco-style suited for the landmarked historic building originally designed by Daniel Burnham in 1920. Guests can explore dining options at the signature restaurant and lounge, Grill on 21. The luxury suites and guestrooms have elegant furnishings, millwork, cabinetry and large marble-clad bathrooms. Guests can spend time at the library or head to the solarium adjacent to the lobby. The hotel also features a fitness center, and offers over 7,500 square feet of ballroom and meeting space.
“We are excited to bring the sophistication and luxury of the original LaSalle Hotel back to the center of Chicago’s financial district,” said General Manager Stefan Gruvberger in a press release. “Our guests will have access to all the best that Chicago has to offer within minutes of our front door. We look forward to helping guests explore this amazing city and create unforgettable memories.”
Commenting about the importance of the hotel's central location in press note, Michael W. Reschke, chairman and CEO of The Prime Group, Inc., said, “The LaSalle Hotel will offer our guests a true luxury experience at every turn, from a central downtown location that makes it easy to traverse the city to bespoke accommodations, food and beverage, and concierge services that make every stay extraordinary.”
The hotel is now open to accept 2022 bookings. For more information, visit www.thelasallechicago.com
