The BRIX, Autograph Collection is officially open. Located in St. Ann’s on the outskirts of Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, the hotel is minutes away from popular attractions, including the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Magnificent Seven buildings and the Emperor Valley Zoo.
Fun fact: The name BRIX is derived from the chemical measurement of sugar in solution—a crop with deep historical, financial, and cultural meaning for the islands of Trinidad and Tobago.
Owned by the Superior Hotels Group and managed by Highgate, the hotel was designed by the Gettys Group and Sow Design Studio, sporting modern architecture inspired by its story of sugar. The hotel has 161 guestrooms and suites, with custom designed furniture and warm color palettes. Local artwork showcasing the history and culture of Trinidad and Tobago can be found throughout the property.
At The Exchange, the signature restaurant, bar, and lounge, guests can enjoy international and local cuisines. The Merchants Grab and Go is located on the lobby level and offers artisan sandwiches, specialty coffees and afternoon cocktails. Adjacent to the Grab and Go is the South Beach-inspired pool deck, featuring cabanas and seating for lounging or sun-bathing. Located on the rooftop, with views of the city skyline, The Sugar High Rooftop Lounge serves tapas and cocktails.
The BRIX offers 2,400 square feet of indoor space spread across three meeting rooms. The largest meeting room, St. Madeleine, accommodates up to 100 attendees, while the Sevilla Meeting Room offers an intimate setting for smaller meetings and events.
