Eco-boutique hotel Cala Luna in Costa Rica introduced eight new one-bedroom suites December 1. The new rooms aim to offer harmony and privacy from within tropical gardens.
The designer modeled the rooms after the contours of the human body. They have minimalistic spacing, smooth angles and neutral tones and lighting, all so as to create a feeling of both intimacy and comfort.
The room makes use of organic, recyclable blond teak wood, as well as gold and gray detailing. Guests can have access to double walk-in showers and their own private patio terrace with views of the garden.
Cala Luna is a sustainable hotel that combines wellness, eco-luxury, nature and holistic tourism. The hotel offers organic farm to table dining and access to the hotel’s spa, where guests can receive massages, beauty treatments, facials and a variety of spa treatments.
Cala Luna provides guests with a number of different activities such as yoga, surf lessons, horseback riding, fishing trips, hiking, paddle boarding, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking and ziplining.
The hotel is located within Las Baulas National Park, which also functions as a leatherback turtle sanctuary. Cala Luna offers guests 39 rooms and villas. The Costa Rican Tourism Institute has given the hotel its highest possible rating in Sustainable Tourism.
