This season, Canopy by Hilton Reykjavik City Centre is hosting a Christmas market in the hotel’s courtyard. The collaboration between Icelandair Hotels and the city of Reykjavik is intended enhance the Christmas spirit neighborhood-wide.
The Icelandic capital, known for its art, culinary scene, and backdrop of volcanic landscapes, served as the location for the debut of the Canopy line. The Christmas market has tables and seats surrounded by cabins and tents where guests can purchase snacks and gifts. It’s open every day between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. through Christmas.
The hotel itself is set across six connected houses on Hverfisgata Street. The rooms and suites are designed with shades of ocean and volcanic rock, and come equipped with a 48-inch TV, mini-refrigerator, bedding designed exclusively for Canopy, and complimentary WiFi. Suites have their own living room.
Guests at Canopy by Hilton Reykjavik City Centre will also have access to:
- A restaurant and bar with locally inspired menus
- Canopy Central with a coffee shop, lounge bar, and evening events
- 24-hour fitness center
- City center event space for smaller meetings
- Attractions such as Laugavegur, the main shopping street
