Developers Derek and Greg Stevens have announced plans to open a new gaming resort, the Circa Resort & Casino, in downtown Las Vegas in December 2020. Making the announcement at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, a property they developed together, the brothers said the new resort will have 777 rooms and suites, a two-level casino and the tallest tower north of the Strip.
Joining the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas, the upcoming 1.25 million square foot property will mark the area’s first ground-up resort since 1980. Amenities at the Circa Resort & Casino will include a variety of restaurants, a long outdoor bar, a spa and a multi-level, stadium-style sportsbook.
With additional details expected in the coming months, the developers did introduce some of the property’s larger features. An expansive multi-tiered pool amphitheater will provide its own food and beverage menu, private cabanas and live DJs. The “Garage Mahal,” a parking structure designed around ride-sharing, will add nine floors of parking, 1,201 spaces, to downtown Las Vegas. A multi-level, stadium-style sportsbook will house an in-house broadcast studio with sports gaming media organization Vegas Stats and Information Network.
The Stevens brothers worked together developing the D Las Vegas, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. For their current project, they have hired Steelman Partners to oversee architecture and design, Tré Builders as construction manager and McCarthy Building Companies Inc. as contractor.
